BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Industrial Engineering change agent to drive Operational Excellence throughout our Manufacturing and Supply Chain functions. In this role, you'll provide support with layout, process design, process improvement implementation and that enables our sites to achieve peak performance. You'll lead Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects, and you'll identify and implement process flow, cost reduction, quality, and safety improvements. This is a high visibility position where you will interact across all levels from the Shop floor to the Board room, and you will be challenged to deliver results that have a direct impact on company profitability.

Job Responsibilities:

Use accepted industrial engineering and accounting principles to develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing build process and standards (i.e. – Cycle Time, OEE, TMP, etc.).

Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to assist operations in process improvement and meeting strategic objectives.

Enact improvement to resolve productivity flow problems and/or minimize cost.

Drive sustained improvements through the utilization of process flows, operating procedures, and work instructions.

Assist in determining optimal shop floor layouts, product flow strategies, assembly methods, ergonomics, material handling, etc.

Perform time and motion studies to develop standards for labor utilization.

Required Skills and Education

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

Ability to work collaboratively across departmental lines

Strong written and oral communication skills

Highly organized and proficient in project management

Excellent problem solving and time management skills

Proven ability to motivate and influence teammates to drive organizational change

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Required Education and Experience:

BS in Industrial Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience

Demonstrated leadership in process improvement including logistics, supply chain, material presentation to the manufacturing areas, manufacturing flow optimization and implementation of operations work standards including methods and time standards

Experience establishing and maintaining work standards, methods and build times.

Experience organizing material flow throughout the value stream from receipt through shipping.

Experience leading Continuous Improvement events and implementing the results within Operations

Experience establishing and monitoring Equipment Capacity

Seven plus years’ experience in manufacturing operations

Experience with Lean Sigma methodologies, sigma certification
