BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Information Technology (IT) Subject Matter Expert at a Senior level to join a strong team supporting our government customer. This position will provide the ability to make a significant impact to the mission.

The IT Subject Matter Expert Senior shall design, implement, manage, and optimize IT systems and resources to meet business needs. The IT Subject Matter Expert Senior analyzes existing technology infrastructure, gather requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop cost effective and scalable solutions. The IT Subject Matter Expert Senior shall bridge the gap between business and technical teams and ensures that IT systems align with strategic organizational goals and tactical management objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Liaison: Act as a bridge between business teams, IT developers, and Vendors to enable systems implementation planning and system implementation and support.

Requirements Analysis: Work with business users to gather and document system requirements, ensuring clarity and feasibility.

Resource Management: Estimate and model what resources will be needed to complete a project and assist with monitoring fiscal and resource consumption.

Data Management, Analysis, and Reporting: Ensure data management and processes support data reporting requirements and implement methods of maintaining the currency and accuracy of data required for operations.

Documentation & Training: Create technical and business documentation, system workflows, and user guides, as well as provide training when needed.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with requirements planning for system architecture, databases, and software lifecycle support.

Proficiency in business analysis tools, data reporting, and process development.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; including executive level management.

Knowledge of change management processes and enterprise licensing agreements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience); master’s degree preferred.
