Manager, Technical Accounting (711222)

Direct interaction with various levels of the client to gather appropriate financial data for the Engagement Leader and Partner to review. Draft financial statement footnotes. Review of prepared supporting schedules for financial statements and footnotes completed by more junior team members. Analysis of financial data for both public and private companies such as financial statements, reconciliations, bank statements, and SOX and internal controls. Review and substantiation of numbers that appear in financial statements in order to assist public and private companies with audits in accordance with AICPA, SEC, & IFRS regulations. Detailed revenue analysis to support figures that appear in financial statements. Prepare analytics for transactions entered into by clients including business reorganizations and restructuring such as business acquisitions and/or divestments. Draft accounting memos and supporting analysis evaluating the accounting treatment for complex transactions such as revenue analyses under ASC 606, debt, equity, business combinations, lease analyses under ASC 842 leases, and stock-based compensation. Prepare calculations to support journal entries for complex debt, equity, and revenue transactions. Prepare stock-based compensation calculations. Prepare cash flow statements. Prepare earnings per share calculations. Review of audit schedules, documentation, or technical memos prepared by clients. Preparation of Excel spreadsheets and workbooks. Provide regular status reports of team members’ assigned tasks to Engagement Leader.

Will travel 5% US and/or Int’l to meet with current and/or potential clients.

Requires Master’s degree or foreign educational equivalent in Accountancy, Business Administration or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign educational equivalent in Accountancy, Business Administration or closely related and five (5) years of post-degree, progressive experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Experience must have included Performing financial statement audits for Fortune 500 public and private companies in accordance with AICPA, SEC, & IFRS regulations; Perform SOX and Internal Controls testing for publicly traded companies and privately held companies; Assist in the preparation of carve-out financial statements for business reorganizations and restructuring such as business acquisitions and/or divestments; Working with ASC 842 Leases as it relates to drafting technical memos, classifying leases, determining lease terms, and calculating lease liabilities and ROU assets; Reviewing ASC 606 technical memos and ensuring compliance with ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers by ensuring revenue recognition is in accordance with GAAP standards; and Supervise and review work completed by Junior team members, provide status reports and updates for engagement leader and partner review.
