Job Description
$16 - $20 hourlyResponsibilities:
Recognize and adhere to quality requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products, as well as correct storage and waste management
Ensure that all interactions with visitors, vendors and colleagues are conducted in a professional and friendly manner
Establish a system of food stations and stock them with all of the necessary ingredients for the shift
Maintain work stations, including all countertops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition per health and safety regulations
Prepare food orders on the line by cooking items to order, grilling, broiling, sauteing and meet all presentation guidelines and follow standard recipes
Portion and preparation of food items, including fish, beef, chicken, pork, etc., as prescribed by company specifications
Preparation of sauces and/or garnishes as required by company specifications related to the specific menu item
Performs related work as assigned and as circumstance requires
Be able to interact with vendors and customers when needed
Keep all workstations, counters, equipment, and other kitchen areas clean and sanitary according to health and safety guidelines
Guarantee that food quality is adhered to, properly stored food and items while meeting waste control requirements
Follow established recipes and prepare foods to presentation standardsQualifications:
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
Must be able to meet all safety and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage
Prior food service industry experience is highly desired
Possesses a strong work ethic and have high attention to detail
Required Skills/Abilities:
Possess strong work ethic
Ability to produce an excellent culinary and restaurant experience for patrons
Excellent time management, scheduling, managerial, and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a variety of personalities and under pressure
Education and Experience:
Experience in food preparation work is preferred
Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is preferred
Must meet the minimum age requirement as prescribed by law
Possess or willing to obtain a valid Food Handler Certificate
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and preparing and cooking food
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or coldAbout Company
