Arrowhead Winch engineers and manufactures industrial winch, hoist and drive systems under the BRADEN, CARCO and Gearmatic brand names in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Job Summary:

The Senior Buyer is responsible for purchasing assigned commodities, based on requirements and exercising independent judgment. Position will be responsible for supplier management, supplier development and other project management as assigned.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Reviews supplier pricing, quality and delivery to determine selection of suppliers

Coordinates cross functional teams as necessary for project completion

Performs order follow-up for timely delivery in support of schedule

Monitors supplier performance using Quality, Cost and Delivery metrics

Organizes and leads improvement projects, and resourcing efforts utilizing 6-Sigma tools or other problem-solving tools.

Communicate and conduct supplier business reviews with plant and division personnel at all management levels

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Related four-year degree is preferred, with 2-7 years of closely related experience in purchasing, Business, Economics, Engineering, or appropriate technical field.

LEAN Six Sigma Certification desired

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Team player that is self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision

Superior analytical, and detailed data analysis skills

Flexible, adaptable, and able to navigate changes quickly

Ability to professionally handle stressful situations

Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently with changing prioritiesTechnical Skills:

Proficient software skills including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
