Summary:
An Assembler/Picker/Packer in a warehouse is responsible for preparing products for shipment by assembling components, picking items from inventory, and packing them securely. This role ensures that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Primary Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick items from shelves based on customer orders, ensuring the correct products are selected.
Assembly: Assemble products or components as required, following specific instructions and quality standards.
Packing: Pack items securely for shipment, using appropriate materials to protect products during transit.
Quality Control: Inspect items for damage and ensure they meet quality standards before packing.
Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels and report any discrepancies.
Labeling: Weigh and label packages appropriately, ensuring all shipping information is correct.
Record Keeping: Maintain records of packages, incoming packing slips and material.
Cleaning: Clean and maintain packaging and shipping areas.Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret order invoices.
Basic math skills for weighing and labeling packages.
Physical stamina to lift and move packages (up to 50 pounds). Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment is preferred but not always required.
