Clinical Manager - Registered Nurse (RN), Hospice
$7,500 Sign-On Bonus

About the Opportunity
A leading and rapidly growing provider of hospice and home health services in the western United States is seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Manager (RN) to join their hospice team in San Diego County. The Clinical Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality hospice care for patients and families, overseeing clinical operations, compliance, and performance development within the region.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
Provide clinical leadership and direct supervision to hospice care professionals, including RNs, LVNs, social workers, chaplains, and aides.
Foster a collaborative, supportive team environment focused on quality care.
Patient Care Oversight
Oversee the delivery of individualized, compassionate end-of-life care that upholds patient dignity and comfort.
Support and guide clinicians in clinical decision-making and care planning.
Quality & Compliance
Monitor adherence to clinical protocols, state and federal regulations, and hospice standards.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
Care Coordination
Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and revise patient care plans.
Participate in regular case conferences and provide expertise on patient management.
Training & Development
Provide ongoing clinical training and mentorship for hospice staff.
Lead performance evaluations and identify opportunities for professional growth.
Family & Patient Advocacy
Act as a liaison between hospice staff and patients' families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed compassionately and promptly.
On-Call Responsibilities
Participate in on-call rotation as needed to support staff and manage urgent clinical situations.
Qualifications
Licensure: Current and active RN license in California.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a clinical leadership role; at least 1 year of experience in hospice or palliative care is required.
Certification: CHPN (Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse) preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of hospice principles, symptom management, and end-of-life care.
Leadership: Proven ability to mentor, lead, and inspire clinical teams.
Technical: Proficient in EMR systems and clinical software.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Decision-Making: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Compensation
Annual Salary Range: $107,000 – $133,000
Sign-On Bonus: $7,500
Final compensation is dependent upon experience, licensure, and qualifications.
