Good News Home Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing residential care and aftercare for women, is offering an Accounting Intern position for students seeking valuable experience in financial administration.

About Good News Home Inc.

We provide both short-term and long-term residential care for up to 12 women at a time, offering them support and resources for a brighter future. As part of our team, you'll gain firsthand experience in nonprofit financial management and contribute to our mission-driven work.

Internship Responsibilities

As an Accounting Intern, you will:

Assist in researching, filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and invoices.

Work with bookkeeping software, such as QuickBooks.

Handle sensitive financial data with honesty and integrity.

Collaborate with the Accounting team to compile and analyze financial data.

Take on additional projects to expand your knowledge of accounting and nonprofit management.Requirements:

We’re looking for students who:

Are currently pursuing or have completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Have completed at least two years of an accounting program.

Have a basic understanding of business financial management, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cash management.

Possess proficiency in spreadsheets and accounting software.

Can work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Have strong organizational and investigative skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of Intermediate Accounting I & II.
