CNC Programmer and Operator

Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer and operator proficient in MASTERCAM to join thier dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming CNC machines and will be responsible for creating precise and efficient programs to produce high-quality components. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in various software tools. The CNC Programmer will work closely with engineers and machinists to ensure that all specifications are met and that production runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes, including milling, turning, and electrical discharge machining (EDM).

Operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify the accuracy of machined parts against specifications.

Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues related to machine performance and program efficiency.

Maintain documentation of all programming activities, including revisions and updates to existing programs.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Experience

Proven experience in CNC programming with a strong understanding of machining processes.

Proficiency in CAM programming software, particularly Mastercam

Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) is preferred.

Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
