VulcanForms Inc. seeks a Senior Manager of Production Control & Logistics (PC&L) for our Newburyport, MA (VulcanTwo) location.
Job Purpose
As theSenior Manager of Production Controls & Logistics at VulcanForms Inc.,Newburyport, MA,you will be responsible for production planning, control, and logistics for our manufacturing team. In this position, you will establish a Sales Inventory & Operations Plan (SIOP) process and be responsible for the VulcanTwo inputs to the monthly SIOP reviews. VulcanForms Inc. is a manufacturer of complex, high value engineered components in serial production in the world's most powerful metal manufacturing foundry.
Key Accountabilities
Sets the vision and strategy for demand planning, purchasing, inventory control, and logistics for VulcanForms supply chain
Leads Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) for VulcanTwo site
Manage PC&L including the coordination between Engineering, Process and Operations to ensure work orders start, finish and are delivered on time.
Managing and developing our end-to-end supply chain, delivering ambitious OTD, quality and cost goals
Own the reporting and results on the production progress of customer and engineering development deliverables, including tracking external supplier operations.
Ensure delivery commitments to the internal and external customers, including leadership.
Maintain demand forecast for raw materials.
Lead the team responsible for material handling and storage within the facility from receiving through packaging and tender to outbound logistics.
Direct the creation and maintenance of processes and standard work.
Manage the team cross-functionally to expedite material shortages with Procurement, Receiving, Quality, and other production and R&D teams.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in supply chain management
Deep expertise in both Supply Chain Management and PC&L
Proven experience in people management within a manufacturing environment
Experience with materials planning
Experience in Manufacturing environment
