KSTA I.T. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our development team and contribute to the creation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and quality assurance processes. This role involves designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions to support software development projects and ensure the delivery of high-quality products. The SDET will work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify issues, improve test coverage, and enhance system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and enhance automated testing frameworks to support comprehensive test coverage and generate detailed quality reports.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for new and existing software solutions to improve reliability and performance.

Create and manage test data, including both positive and negative test cases, to thoroughly evaluate system functionality and logic.

Collaborate with end-users to coordinate user acceptance testing, alpha, and beta testing phases.

Provide task estimates for testing activities and report progress to the development team.

Participate in and contribute to code reviews, offering feedback on testing standards and best practices.

Lead and mentor junior team members on testing strategies and automation tools.

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including test plans, scripts, and procedures.

Engage in the defect management process, identifying root causes and working with the development team to resolve issues.

Evaluate system vulnerabilities and propose measures to strengthen security and prevent system failures.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.

Test for system scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance, particularly in cloud-based and service-oriented architectures.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum of four years of progressive experience in software testing, development, or related fields.

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.

Familiarity with cloud-based environments and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Experience testing systems for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance is preferred.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with testing cloud-based applications in a CI/CD environment.

Knowledge of service-oriented architecture and best practices for testing data center-based systems.

Familiarity with security testing and identifying potential system vulnerabilities.

Work Environment:

Professional office setting with standard working conditions.

Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
