Job Description

The Wilmington College English program invites applications for a full-time position (3 year renewable contract) in the teaching of developmental composition beginning August 2025. The successful candidate will teach 3 courses per semester, mostly or exclusively in composition, with some classes on the main campus and some classes in the prison education program, and will assist the Student Resource Center manager in training and development of student writing tutors, tutor scheduling, and Writing Center assessment. Demonstrated expertise in teaching developmental composition, Writing Center experience, a minimum of two years classroom experience, and a PhD in English or Rhetoric and Composition are required by the time of appointment.
