Clinical Coordinator Job Summary:

The Clinical Coordinator contributes to IHC’s mission and goals of client satisfaction, quality of care, and productivity by providing quality care to clients. This position works with the clinical staff and providers to ensure the day-to-day operation of the clinic is efficient and productive.

Prepares medical and immunization histories.

Takes and records vital signs and other physical data.

Prepares patients for examination by the physician.

Assists physician in examining room.

Makes referrals as appropriate and necessary. Administrative:

Serves as site’s VFC Coordinator.

Trains new clinical staff; serves as clinical preceptor.

Prepares in-kind reports.

Completes and submits clinical PDSAs.

Orders clinical supplies.

Acts as liaison between clinical support staff and Practice Manager.

Attends management meetings and communicates relevant information to clinical support staff.Requirements:

Graduation from recognized Medical Assistance Program or a Licensed Practical Nurse Program.

Completion of Medical Assistant certification or maintains LPN license.

Technology

Proficient in computer skills, including typing and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, eCW, etc.
