Groundskeeper

Job Description

Description:

Perform in-house grounds jobs (i.e. mowing lawns, raking, pulling leaves, collecting trash, etc.) alone or as part of a grounds team.

Assist grounds and paving contractors when needed.

Prepare and maintain athletic fields to support the school’s programs.

Clear and clean gutters, downspouts and drains.

Assist with snow and ice removal.

Operate vehicles and equipment as required for grounds and paving jobs.

Provide setup for special events such as Alumni Day and Commencement activities.

Move tables and chairs as required supporting campus programs and activities.

Participate in regular trash pick-up, disposal and recycling.

Available for Saturday morning work detail on a rotating basis. Requirements:

High School Diploma

Experience with general grounds maintenance

Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to operate vehicles and shop equipment.

Knowledge of or willingness to learn turf management, grounds maintenance and horticulture.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pesticide Private Applicator’s License from the PA Department of Agriculture is a plus but not required.

Full-time
