About the Opportunity:
A fast-growing, mission-driven hospitality group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Restaurant Accounting Manager to support financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls across a multi-unit food service operation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego with long-term stability and a strong company culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the full monthly accounting close process, including reconciliations and journal entries
Prepare and review general ledger accounts and regulatory filings
Conduct monthly and quarterly financial analysis and variance reports
Compile quarterly reporting packages and assist in financial integration initiatives
Maintain up-to-date process documentation and support accounting best practices
Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing accurate and timely documentation
Participate in the automation of financial systems and process improvements
Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years in public accounting or 4+ years in an industry setting
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, data manipulation)
Familiarity with accounting policies, regulatory standards, and internal control practices
Ability to meet recurring deadlines and work efficiently in a structured environment
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality
Prior experience in the hospitality or multi-unit restaurant industry is a plus
