SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. The Maintenance Technician will be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility to ensure machinery is optimal and play a major role in operating a safe environment, and ensure compliance with all rules and regulations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude, electrical aptitude (desired), and manufacturing processes and equipment repair.
Good communication with other co-workers on every shift.
Maintain a safety-first mindset; wear proper PPE and possess knowledge of safety equipment and workplace safety standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.
YOUR ROLE:
Communicating and working with other maintenance and production personnel to accomplish all maintenance and repair tasks in a timely and safe manner.
Perform the required routine maintenance and tasks to keep equipment safe, functional, and efficient by executing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance actions.
Learn and demonstrate competency in maintaining and troubleshooting processes and repairing mechanical and electrical malfunctions and breakdowns, and equipment to progress through training programs.
Demonstrates proper use of equipment, observing all safety procedures and policies. This includes but is not limited to: All designated PPE, lockout/tagout, and other requirements of working on equipment.
Participate in all on-site training per the direction of management.
Assists in the basic testing/troubleshooting of facility systems, including but not limited to fire alarms, exit door alarms, and emergency and exit lighting.
Ground maintenance is occasionally required.
Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted.Requirements:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
The ability to lift (from floor to waist level), push, and pull 50 pounds.
The ability to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces with regular periods of stooping, bending, or sitting.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
3rd shift Monday through Friday following production hours.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with experience and knowledge.
