Job Summary
This position is responsible for vibration analysis, machine alignments, preventative maintenance, lubrications and oils of equipment.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
•Performs equipment vibration analysis
•Performs machine alignments
•Perform routine lubrication preventative maintenance on all equipment
•Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections on all machinery and equipment.
•Ability to troubleshoot and repair identified issues
•Monitoring and maintaining inventories of fuel, oil, filters, etc.
•Oils and greases moving parts of friction surfaces of mechanical equipment, such as shaft and motor bearings, sprockets, drive chains, gears, and pulleys, according to specified procedures and oral instructions.
•Fills container, such as oilcan, grease gun, or tank of lubrication truck with specified lubricant
•Squirts or pours oil on moving parts and friction surfaces, or into holes, oil cups, or reservoirs.
•Turns oil cup valves to regulate flow of oil to moving parts.
•Installs grease into bearings with grease-gun, smears grease on friction surfaces, or packs grease cups by hand.
•Ability to monitor, fill, and clean oil reservoirs when required
•Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
•Maintain cleanliness of machinery prior to and after lubrication
•Complete required route sheets and work orders related to lubrication routes
•Provide feedback on improvements to routes or equipment and modify / expand lubrication routes as required
•Maintain proper housekeeping and lubricant storage standards
•Maintain lubricant inventory and communicate shortages to supervisor prior to running out.
•Adherence to all plant environmental, health and safety guidelines, policies and practices

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to work overtime;
Ability to be on-call;
Ability to communicate effectively and participate in a continuous improvement culture, including utilizing problem solving skills;
Computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word;
Critical thinking, multi-tasking and troubleshooting skills;
Experience with preventive, predictive, and reliability-based maintenance practices
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in hydraulics, lubrication and mechanical equipment; basic understanding of types of lubricants and application each is suited
Ability to utilize skills to improve equipment reliability
Experience reading technical diagrams and schematics
Experience with vibration analysis and precision alignment
Experience with computerized maintenance management system or manual system
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
Ability to be on call
Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 60% of shift;
Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, and roof if necessary;
Ability to work in confined spaces;
Ability to use equipment such as forklift, aerial lifts up to 60ft tall;
Must be able to move about the facility in order to complete projects up to 40 % of their shift;
This position works in a manufacturing environment with exposures to high noise levels, vibrations, varying atmospheric conditions and temperatures, hazardous chemicals, and steam
Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds;
Must be able to wear full-face respirator and protective equipment for testing. This includes minimal facial hair in order to ensure proper fit in of respirator in accordance with OSHA regulations. Must complete annual medical monitoring program, including pulmonary function testing.
Education:
Associates Degree in Industrial Mechanics or related field
OR
High school diploma / GED plus 2 years related experience
