Career Technical Training Instructor for the CNA Trade Program:

Alternate Perspectives, Inc. (API) is looking for a Career Technical Training Instructor to join our team! In this role, you will train students in an assigned program, helping them earn industry-recognized certifications, licensures, and credentials required for their future careers. You will also support students in developing job search plans, preparing for employment, and fostering professional growth.

If you want to be a part of a dynamic team that helps young people ages 16-24 years old, this job is for you! You will be a part of the nation's most successful youth training and education program, Job Corps, for the past 60 years.

What You'll Do:

Provide engaging instruction in designated technical areas, preparing students for industry certifications.

Develop lesson plans, administer tests, track student progress, and maintain required reports.

Mentor and counsel students on training, study habits, and career readiness.

Collaborate with staff to resolve issues affecting student learning and success.

Maintain equipment, supplies, and classroom spaces to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

Work closely with employers, schools, and the community to provide real-world training and job placement opportunities.

Assist in transition planning for students entering the workforce, military, or further education.

Promote career success standards, modeling professionalism and workplace expectations.

What We're Looking For:

Education & Certifications: Industry-recognized certification, license, or accreditation in the area of instruction required. Bachelor's degree with teaching certification preferred. Three to five years of industry experience or related teaching experience may be considered in place of formal education.

Experience & Skills: Previous experience in teaching, mentoring, or workforce development. Experience working with youth and young adults is a plus. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer proficiency for tracking student progress and documentation.

Other Requirements: A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
