We’re seeking a strategic and detail-driven Controller to oversee our accounting operations, ensure compliance with GAAP, and drive financial integrity across the organization. As a leadership role within our corporate finance team, the Controller ensures our financial backbone supports our creative ambitions.

What You’ll Be Doing

Accounting Leadership – Oversee the day-to-day operations of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general accounting

Financial Reporting – Finalize month-end close, financial statements, and management reporting in compliance with GAAP and company policy

Internal Controls – Design and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with audit and regulatory standards

Team Supervision – Manage and develop accounting staff, including supervisors and staff accountants; conduct performance reviews, coach for growth, and resolve personnel matters

Audit & Tax Management – Lead the annual financial audit, inventory observations, and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors

Risk & Cash Management – Create and manage bank transfers/wires and oversee treasury responsibilities across accounts

Process Optimization – Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and introduce new tools for efficiency

Compliance & Policy – Develop, communicate, and train the team on accounting policies and ensure consistent application

Strategic Support – Investigate unusual transactions and present findings to stakeholders for action

What We’re Looking For

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)

8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership

Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards

Experience managing audits, preparing for tax filings, and overseeing treasury operations

A strong leader who values mentorship, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Experience in entertainment, media, or technology services is a plus
