The Operations Administrator I will monitor the performance and integrity of production applications and infrastructure. This role will assist in production issues with the appropriate teams or leaders, and assist in troubleshooting and determining root cause.
Attention to detail is important as identifying trends in our monitoring tools and reporting allows the team to remain proactive. This position requires an uptime focused, technical team member. This team member must have a good understanding of the relationships between infrastructure and application, and the ability to analyze technical issues in all layers of our environment.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Monitor all aspects of production application and infrastructure on a real time basis
Assist in any production outages with the appropriate subject matter experts with extreme sense of urgency
Provide proactive monitoring data to all other cross functional teams and assisting in the interpretation of the data to resolve issues in the environment
Manage and complete ticketing requests sent to the team
Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues and progress toward goals. Maintain up-to-date documentation of alerting templates, operation and procedure manuals
Participate in rotating on-call coverage or emergency response as needed
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Must Have Qualifications:
Computer-related degree or equivalent work experience
Basic hardware/software knowledge of, but not limited to :
Windows Server 2008+
VMware
Basic understanding of enterprise infrastructure systems
Strong Customer Service and Communication Skills
Strong ability to multi-task and to take ownership/work with other teams during outages
Ability to provide on-call support on a rotating basis, reaching out to other teams as necessary
Ability to work 100% on-site in Pontiac, Michigan
Nice to Have Qualifications:
Dynatrace experience or equivalent
Windows Server 2012 R2 / Microsoft SQL Server
Cribl experience or other relevant log management experience
SolarWinds IT Monitoring / Infrastructure monitoring
Working Knowledge of Active Directory
Internet Information Services (IIS)
Office 365
Linux OS
