Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere in Chicago, IL, you will:

Design, build and deliver ECommerce software solutions to protect market share in the After Market Parts, Services, Subscriptions and Consumer Whole Goods spaces;

Operate within a full stack agile team and participate in all aspects of teams work of building out John Deere’s Ecommerce applications and ensuring delivery adheres to the proposed architecture;

Ensure high quality software through adherence to Test Driven Development (TDD) as the foundation of development and enabling CI/CD and DevSecOps practices;

Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members within the product space.

Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Up to 20% remote work allowed.

What Skills You Need

5 years of experience with Java/J2EE, SOAP, Rest Webservices, XML, and Hibernate, Spring

5 years of being involved in all Software Development Life Cycle stages including requirement gathering, analysis, design, build, testing and implementation

5 years of experience in responsible for Application Infrastructure Uplift as per the latest technology standards

5 years of experience in proficient in Agile methodologies

3 years of experience in developing applications using Microservices architecture

5 years of experience in function as development lead to design the code and guide the developers per the design and requirement

5 years of experience in act as the SME (Subject Matter expert) for the suite of applications and provide key input to development team during analysis and design phase

3 years of experience using CI/CD Pipeline

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years related experience.
