Job Title: Scientist II Location: Ridgefield, CT Type: Contract Responsibilities Plan, coordinate and perform high throughput expression of biotherapeutic proteins using suspension CHO cells at various scales (plate based, tube based and flask based) with automated platforms; Determine key cell-culture parameters and interpret findings.
Transfection, Culture monitoring, Harvest, Titer determination and Western blot analysis as needed.
Design and produce DNA for use in transient and stable transfections.
Perform molecular biology techniques as necessary: cloning, DNA scale up, sequencing analysis Evaluate new technologies and process changes to improve the productivity, quality and consistency of the expression processes.
Independently interpret, communicate and present results through reports and internal presentations.
Work closely with counterparts from other functional areas to deliver on research milestones while adhering to broad project timelines.
Comply with all applicable regulations, perform all work in a safe manner; maintain proper records in accordance with SOP’s and policies.
Contributes to lab organization, reagent tracking and other tasks as determined appropriate Requirements Skills: Thorough understanding of cell culture basics.
Hands-on experience in cell culture (mammalian) and exceptional aseptic techniques.
Strong attention to details and excellent organizational skills.
Able to learn quickly and excel in a past-faced work environment; self-motivation, adaptability and positive attitude.
