The primary role is to conduct physical testing, data collection, and insights delivery.
In addition, this role includes business support for core testing, innovation testing, product development support for productivity initiatives, innovation and ingredient functionality, and training in the field of thermal and rheological analysis for foods.
The role will leverage analytical instruments, methodologies, and procedures to deliver solid and accurate data timely.
Demonstrate adherence to site Health & Safety and Good Laboratory Practice policies and procedures.
Minimum BS degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry, or related discipline with experience in a laboratory environment.
3+ years’ experience in the Food & Beverage industry is preferred.
Analytical food chemistry experience required.
Familiar with Laboratory Information Management Systems and documentation tools.
Knowledge and experience of a wide range of analytical chemistry techniques, instrumentation, and statistics.
Attention to details in implementing experiments/projects and in the delivery of accurate and timely analytical results/insights.
Ability to communicate confidently and effectively in a timely manner in presentations and emails.
Ability to think and act on their own, while communicating needs and results appropriately.
Logical/critical thinking enabling effective problem solving and good technical writing/presentation skills Able to work in a team and to collaborate with partners.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Must understand and follow safe handling of hazardous chemicals and have an appreciation of the normal hazards associated with laboratory work.
Identify any differentiating behaviors, leadership skills or soft skills required for success in the role.
Experience in foods physical testing to solve some technical challenges in ingredients and finished products.
Demonstrates Global acumen: Excellent collaboration within and across teams both locally and globally.
