Title : Cybersecurity embedded engineer Location : MOSSVILLE, IL Duration : 24 Months Rate : $Open Visa Status : Any work Status On W2 Only Relevant Experience: 5 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Embedded Software Engineer with a strong foundation in Embedded C, Python, and cybersecurity principles.

In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of secure embedded software solutions for Caterpillar’s next-generation products.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain embedded software in C for real-time systems.

Develop automation tools and scripts using Python for testing and deployment.

Implement and validate cybersecurity features in embedded systems, including secure boot, encryption, and secure communication protocols.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, and cybersecurity engineers.

Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.

Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 21434, AUTOSAR, or MISRA C.

Support software integration and validation on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

2+ years of experience in embedded software development.

Proficiency in Embedded C and Python.

Solid understanding of embedded systems architecture and real-time operating systems (RTOS). Experience with cybersecurity in embedded systems (e.g., secure boot, cryptographic libraries, threat modeling). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
