American Express Company seeks Senior Analysts, Data Science to review existing data systems designs based on analyzed data to help streamline data reporting processes.
Analyze customer data to develop data-driven business strategies.
Update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, and methodologies.
Develop competitive market strategies via analysis of related product, market, and share trends.
Partner with Marketing, Sales, and other business teams across the enterprise to implement strategic data science initiatives.
Position requires a Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, and 1 year of experience with analyzing customer data to identify trends and develop business strategies.
Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following: developing data-driven strategic initiatives to enhance business performance; analyzing complex financial datasets and performing data mining to identify commercial trends; applying Agile and Scrum methodologies; creating and maintaining business intelligence systems, including MS Excel and ERP systems; data visualization tools, including MS Excel, PowerBI, and Tableau; utilizing data analysis tools, including Google Big Query, Hive, MySQL Server, Python, SAS, Spark, and SQL; and performing business process flow design, business requirement and use case documentation, cost-effectiveness analysis, EDI data integration, gap analysis, and SWOT analysis.
Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
