Job Title: AI Implementation Lead / AI Engineer – Actuarial Focus Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week) Job Type: Contract-to-Hire or Full-Time About the Role A leading organization in the financial services space is launching a new AI initiative within its actuarial function.

This is a ground-floor opportunity to become the first dedicated AI hire on a growing team focused on modernizing processes and driving efficiency through AI/ML.

You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering innovative solutions—from prototypes to production-ready tools—while helping establish the standards, processes, and practices that will define the team’s long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities Lead AI Strategy: Design and execute end-to-end AI/ML initiatives to support actuarial operations and analysis.

Build Prototypes: Create and test AI models and tools using predictive and generative AI technologies.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with actuarial, data, and finance teams to identify impactful use cases and ensure AI efforts align with business goals.

Establish Standards: Define and implement processes, best practices, and governance frameworks for secure, ethical AI usage.

Drive Adoption: Promote AI tools within the organization, gather feedback, and continuously improve implementations.

Ensure Compliance: Align AI solutions with internal standards around data privacy, security, and responsible AI use.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

2+ years of experience in AI/ML development and deployment.

Hands-on experience with generative and predictive AI models.

Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.

Self-starter with the ability to drive projects independently in a dynamic environment.
