Design Manager

Job Title: Design Manager

Location: France

Type: Initial 6 month contract (high chance for extension)

We are seeking an experienced design manager to lead and manage architectural and engineering design activities through concept, basic and detailed design phases of a large pharmaceutical project. The candidate will need to ensure design quality, schedule and budget targets are met and ensure a smooth transition to C&Q teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead & manage the design process.

Coordinate design activities with (architectural/engineering) contractors and internal teams. Support Project manager with selecting a design contractor

Drive BIM setup and management

Participate in value engineering, optioneering and change management related to design

Support procurement by reviewing design related specifications and equipment needed

Ensure all design deliverables are handed over, including as built records, O&M manuals and BIM models

Essential Skills:

5+ years of experience in a design manager or senior engineering role, ideally within Pharmaceutical engineering.

Strong knowledge of BIM, design standards and technical review process.

Familiarity with C&Q processes.

Experience in managing Engineering/architectural firms, design contract and vendor coordination

Previous involvement in global engineering or large CAPEX projects.

Experience with filling lines, packaging and cleanroom environments.
