Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Milford, Connecticut. In this role, you will manage and oversee all daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial processes. Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions to ensure accurate and timely processing.

• Perform journal entries and reconcile accounts as part of the month-end close process.

• Prepare and maintain detailed cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making.

• Handle payroll operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely distribution.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage and organize financial records effectively.

• Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Monitor and improve internal accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on financial matters and reporting.• Proven experience in a Controller or similar accounting leadership role.

• Strong proficiency in accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and payroll management.

• Expertise in preparing journal entries and handling month-end close processes.

• Demonstrated ability to create accurate and detailed cash flow forecasts.

• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online is highly preferred.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including functions and data analysis.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
