Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in New Britain, Connecticut area. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting expertise and a knack for managing both financial and HR-related tasks. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy while supporting various human resources functions.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for multiple entities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee accounts receivable tasks, including issuing invoices, processing payments, and preparing bank deposits.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Reconcile intercompany account balances between various entities on an ongoing basis.
• Create and post journal entries for all accounts, including fixed assets.
• Prepare and submit sales and use tax returns in a timely manner.
• Assist with general ledger account reconciliations and provide analysis as required.
• Support monthly and year-end financial reporting, as well as special projects.
• Coordinate HR functions such as onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining personnel files for all team members.
• Proven experience with account reconciliation and bank reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entry creation.
• Proficiency in preparing and managing month-end close processes.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Familiarity with human resources administration.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and external partners.
• Strong analytical skills to support financial reporting and account analysis.
