Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Admin to join our team in Syracuse, New York. This Contract-to-permanent position offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the operational and administrative needs of our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth coordination of services, accurate data management, and effective communication with both team members and patients.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately review and input authorization data into the database while managing reports on expiring authorizations.

• Assist the clinical team with scheduling and coordinating patient services to ensure timely delivery of care.

• Participate in performance and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to process enhancements.

• Generate and manage various operational reports as directed by the supervisor.

• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, copying, faxing, and taking messages to support team operations.

• Communicate regularly with patients and team members to address needs and provide updates.

• Collaborate with the clinical team to identify opportunities for improving workflows.

• Handle additional duties as assigned to meet organizational goals.• High school diploma required; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the healthcare industry or a Medical Assistant certification.

• Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while adapting to shifting priorities.

• Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.

• Must report in person to the organizational office Monday through Friday.
