Software Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and driven Software Engineer to join our team on a Contract-to-permanent basis in Auburn, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining various software applications, including websites, WinForms applications, and batch programs. You will collaborate with team members and end-users to troubleshoot and resolve issues while ensuring optimal performance of all systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain websites, desktop applications, and batch programs to meet user and customer requirements.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using C# and .NET technologies.

• Collaborate with end-users to identify, test, and resolve system issues effectively.

• Perform thorough troubleshooting and debugging to ensure software reliability.

• Create and optimize T-SQL queries and stored procedures for database interactions.

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

• Develop and consume web services APIs to enhance system functionality.

• Maintain existing software systems by addressing bugs and implementing improvements.

• Document technical specifications and user instructions for developed applications.• Proficiency in C# programming, including experience with WinForms, WebForms, and .NET frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedures.

• Familiarity with web services APIs and ODBC connections.

• At least 3 years of experience in software development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience with Synergy/DE, Java, Microsoft Office Automation, Access database programming, or VB.NET is a plus.
