Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

The role of a Quality Inspector requires familiarity with the aerospace manufacturing environment, specifically under the AS9100 quality system. The position involves conducting continuous inspections, completing First Article and Final Inspections, and maintaining quality standards for incoming goods, in-process production, and finished products. With a minimum of five years of experience, candidates are expected to use tools such as calipers and micrometers, while a background in CMM and CAD is considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

Inspect a few pieces of each job continuously.

Complete First Article and Final Inspections.

Use calipers and micrometers for precise measurement.

Record measurement results on Router and AS9102 reports.

Approve incoming goods, in-process production, and finished products to maintain quality standards.Essential Skills

Blueprint reading and understanding.

Experience in a machine shop and manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in visual quality inspection.

Knowledge of micrometers and aerospace manufacturing under AS9100 quality system.

Strong documentation skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Background in CMM and CAD is a plus.

Metal fabrication and mechanical estimation.

Understanding of bills of material and manufacturing processes.

Experience with purchase orders, cost estimates, ERP, GD&T, and quality control.

Shop math skills and good penmanship.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Windows.

Typing speed of 25 wpm with excellent accuracy.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic machine shop environment where wearing proper PPE is necessary when required. Expect loud and dusty conditions in some areas. We value a long-term mentality for our team members.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corona, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
