My client is a highly prestigious, well established manufacturing and distribution company.
Ownership is looking for an exceptional Controller to lead the finance and accounting team. This is the #1 position within Finance and Accounting reporting directly to the owners.
They are located in Brooklyn.
As always, these are permanent, full time, fully benefited salaried positions (these are NOT temp, or temp to perm).
Compensation is based on experience:
The Controller is between $125k - $160k base + discretionary 10% bonus
The role will cover:
Managing a small team of accountants
Managing the month end close, quarter and year end close
Producing financial statements
Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and outside tax and audit team
Who are you?
Ideally someone with a manufacturing background with costing, inventory
Someone that is very hands on and willing to work directly in the GL and support their team
Highly proficient in Excel (Pivot tables etc.)
A minimum of a BA/BS in Accounting from a top accredited school
8+ years of experience.
Exceptional communications skills are required. A great dynamic personality and the ability to work along your fellow colleagues is crucial. He or she must be able to effectively collaborate with individuals both inside and outside the company.
