Software Engineer (Linux)

Primary Skills: Linux Fundamentals (Expert), Scripting (Proficient), Jira ( Intermediate) Confluence (Intermediate), Embedded systems (Intermediate)

Duration: 6 Months with possible extension

Location: Redmond, WA (#LI-ONSITE)

Pay Range: $60.00 - $64.00 Per Hour

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled engineer with strong Linux and scripting knowledge to support our Payload Networking System Team., focusing on developing innovative automation solutions and diagnostic tools for satellite contact setups and validation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement automation solutions for satellite contact setups and validation processes.

Review, audit, and maintain existing Bash or Python scripts used in system operations.

Support Linux-based environments, ensuring reliability and performance of payload-related software.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data collection systems (e.g., camera feeds, sensors). Must-Have Skills:

3+ years of hands-on experience with Linux fundamentals and scripting.

Strong in Bash scripting or Python scripting .

Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is preferred.

Experience or exposure to embedded systems is desirable. Industry Experience:

Experience in satellite communications, aerospace, or related fields is beneficial.
