Summary:
The Senior Systems Engineer, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Information Technology and Cybersecurity, will primarily provide support for both end users and the IT environment at Gener8. This hands-on role requires direct interaction with a diverse user base as well as helping System Administrators and Network Engineers with
supporting the infrastructure/network, manufacturing production machines and applications on the shop floor, and other projects as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Onboarding and offboarding of users
Primary escalation point for hardware and software related issues
Support of end users and related IT tasks as required
Support for local shop floor manufacturing hardware (computers, scanners, etc.) and applications
Assist other staff with system administration and network infrastructure issues and internally used applications as requested
New client hardware imaging and device deployments leveraging Acronis, Windows Autopilot, KACE, etc.
Site level Active Directory object management (users, groups, computers, etc.)
Support of Google Workspace (primary productivity application suite)
Support of Office 365 (Outlook, Office, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, EMS, etc.) (secondary)
Support of local building access and security systems
Support Engineering related applications (SolidWorks, IAR, Ansys, Zemax, Altium, etc.)
Support of remote users
Windows server management and support
VMware management and support
LINUX management and support
AWS management and support
Network management and support
Backup management and support (Druva, Code42, Veeam, etc.)
Okta management and support
Zoom Workplace management and support
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT or related field or advanced studies. Advanced degree highly desirable.
Prior experience in $100M++ global manufacturer of medical devices highly desirable
5+ years supporting an engineering design and services business
5+ years experience supporting a global manufacturing environment
7+ years working with Intune to manage PCs, iPads, etc.
7+ years working with VMware
7+ years working with Windows 10. Windows 11 experience highly desirable
7+ years working with O365 (Outlook, Office, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, EMS, etc.)
7+ years working with Active Directory
7+ years working with Google Workspace
7+ years supporting Tier 1 ERP (Oracle, SAP, etc.). QAD experience highly desirable
2+ years supporting PLM (Arena)
7+ years working with supporting VPN solutions (Palo Alto, Cisco, etc.)
7+years supporting an engineering community running SolidWorks
Prior experience supporting homegrown software tools in support of a manufacturing business
Prior experience leveraging deployment tools such as Acronis, Windows Autopilot, and Dell KACE for device imaging and deployment
Prior experience with Google Apps Script, PowerShell scripting, or Python highly desirable
Prior experience with domain Google/Microsoft migrations (BitTitan, ADMT, or Quest Migration Manager)
Prior experience working in a global organization with matrix management
Past experience working for a U.S. multinational manufacturing corporation
Prior experience with migrating from Google Workspace to O365
Demonstrated ability to work independently and with little or no supervision
Passion for providing world class service to your end users
