Data Services Administrator – EXCLUDED

OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATIONS

311 Operations

Number of Vacancies: 1

(Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval)

Starting Salary: $80,628.00 annually

Under direction, coordinates the information technology needs for 311 City Services and performs related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Provides technical support for the 311 City Services staff

Provides administrative support for Salesforce

Issues and maintains Salesforce log ins per license issued

Works with DTI regarding contracts and system updates

Provides training to 311 Operators, other city agencies and Alderpeople’s office staff on Salesforce

Facilitates bi-weekly meetings with 311 Service providers, InContact/Salesforce

Issues reports based on request

Deploys the release of new technologies and monitors the work of vendors and contract staff responsible for the implementation and maintenance of new applications

Manages systems and services on the department's local and wide area network (LAN/WAN) environment, ensuring system security, user access, and software availability

Coordinates the set-up of the Internet, City Intranet, and E-mail accounts

Provides technical support by troubleshooting and/or coordinating the resolution of system and hardware problems

Coordinates projects related to the development and maintenance of a department's information technology systems (e.g., Intranet applications, data, telecommunications, audio/video services, office relocations)

Serves as a liaison to the City’s centralized IT department and vendors on system installation and modification projects

Researches, evaluates and recommends software products for purchase, as required

Additional duties may be required for this position.

DIVISION: 311 Operations

ADDRESS: 2111 W. Lexington Ave

SHIFT: Monday through Friday

HOURS: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

THIS POSITION IS EXEMPT FROM THE CAREER SERVICE.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Have eight (8) years of work experience in computer operations OR

Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology/Systems, or a directly related field plus six (6) year of work experience in computer operation OR

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology/Systems, or a directly related field, plus four years of work experience in computer operations OR

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology/Systems, or a directly related field plus three (3) years of work experience in computer operations
