POSITION SUMMARY The Manager of Information Technology is responsible for overseeing the IT and IS operations, leading IT staff, and ensuring the implementation of technology solutions across the organization.
This position directly supervises various IT and IS roles.
QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Networking Administration, or another closely related field is required.
Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
Experience: Ten (10) years’ experience in most of the essential duties and responsibilities listed above as well as those of the teams this position oversees.
Minimum of 5 years of direct IT supervisory experience, with 3 years preferred in IT management.
Experience in project management, network administration, and information security.
Licenses and Credentials: Must possess or acquire within 2 years and maintain; a minimum of two industry standard certifications that are applicable to position and approved by the CIO.
These may include IT Security Certification (ISC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud security Professional (CCSP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC, GISF, GSEC), Network+, Security+, CySa+. Valid Michigan Driver’s license with good driving record.
