What You Will Be Doing:
As an Accountant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing accounts payable and receivable
Processing payroll and administering employee records
Preparing monthly journal entries and quarterly financial statements
Managing materials ordering and inventory for office operations
Supporting the optimization of office functions and maintaining accurate records
Assisting with general office tasks to ensure efficient operations
Reconciling bank and credit card statements
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Preparing and filing state and federal tax returns as necessary
Monitoring cash flow and assisting with budgeting and forecasting
Conducting periodic financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities
Ensuring proper administrative processes between all departments
Implementing financial best practices and maintaining internal controls
What You Bring:
Educational Background: Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
Experience: At least 3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience (Preferred)
Technical Skills: Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Salesforce (Preferred)
Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to streamline processes and suggest improvements
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communicator, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Attention to Detail: Meticulous in managing financial records and ensuring accuracy
Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to the company's existing processes
On-Site Presence: Must be available to work at the Grosse Pointe Woods location
