Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience managing engineering functions within a manufacturing plant or overseeing major operations.
Strong financial acumen with a proven ability to manage multiple capital projects and permits in a plant environment.
Demonstrated success in selecting, developing, and coaching employees, with the ability to work effectively across cultures.
Proficiency in integrating technical and business needs into operations, identifying key connections across complex issues, and developing actionable plans.
Ability to link long-term strategy to daily operations, considering internal and external factors that impact business objectives.
Position Summary:
The Project Engineering Manager leads all engineering functions within the plant, ensuring alignment with Safety, Quality, Environmental, Production, and Cost goals. This role is critical in fostering a safe working environment and ensuring the effective design and execution of capital projects. The position collaborates closely with operations management to drive continuous improvement, leveraging technological advancements to enhance plant performance. Additionally, the role is responsible for developing and sustaining a high-performing engineering team to ensure long-term operational efficiency and technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety & Environmental Leadership
Integrate safety and environmental considerations into all engineering and capital project activities.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe workplace.
Strategic Planning & Execution

Capital Project Management
Oversee the development, planning, and execution of the Capital Expenditure Program (CEP).
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with design standards.
Lead the development of a five-year capital strategy to support long-term plant needs.
Procurement & Supply Chain Alignment
Manage supply and capital purchasing programs to support both plant operations and the CEP.
Align plant engineering objectives with North American and Global Procurement strategies.
Controls & Automation Oversight
Ensure instrumentation, control systems, and documentation effectively support the plant’s quality and production goals.
Work closely with controls engineering teams to optimize automation and system reliability.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Lead engineering and purchasing teams to drive continuous improvement in processes, equipment reliability, and cost efficiency.
Develop and execute initiatives that align with corporate strategies and enhance plant competitiveness.
