RESRG Automotive is seeking you to join our team as an Injection Mold Maker Technician in our Covington, GA location!
This role is for 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
What you Will do in Your Role
Clean and Inspect injection molds, tool and die in normal PM process
Performs final fitting operations on purchased / repaired components for proper assembly
Performs the highly critical assembly operations, refitting, reventing or adjusting as necessary for the mold to achieve designed objectives
Maintains equipment maintenance and repair history records, details of work performed, parts replaced, and the labor hours, as required
Install/fabricate replacement components as needed
Trouble shoot mold and die issues in the shop as well as in current production
Study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes
product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.
Work in a fast-paced environment in a safe manner
Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations
Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, and grinder, to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications
Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances
Develops specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draws or sketches design of product.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in developing interpersonal relationships
Highly motivated self-starting individual who is comfortable working as part of a team
Mathematically inclined
Minimum of 4 years in the field and experience with tool shop machines
Analytical problem solver with a mindset of continual improvement
must be familiar with electrical and hydraulic circuits using diagrams, blueprints, and electrical circuit test meters and methods
Must be willing and able to work 3rd shift, including occasional weekends
What Will Put You Ahead
Fabrication skills such as welding/ metal working.
Past experience in tool and die and injection molding
Laser welding experience
Texture and Grain repair experience
Two shot mold experience
Experience using tools/shop equipment (i.e.: grinders, belt sander, bandsaw, drills, mills, lathe)
Forklift experience
Overhead crane experience
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50-75 lbs. on occasion
Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures & outdoors on occasion as needed
Frequently required to stand and walk; use hands to finger manipulation, handle, and feel; reach with arms and hands above head; talk and hear
Sometimes required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit
Specific vision requirements: close, distant, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
