Job Responsibilities:
• Develop test plans, validation procedures, and documentation to ensure functional and performance compliance, taking full ownership of the assigned task.
• Design, model, simulate power electronics systems.
• Designing prototype, debugging, and fault analysis for power electronic systems hardware (Inverters/converters), and optimize.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure smooth transition from design to validation and production.
• Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineers to develop and validate design.
• Utilize laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal cameras, etc.) to conduct detailed analysis and root cause investigations.
• Perform design validation under various operating conditions (temperature, voltage, load profile, EMI/EMC).
• Interface with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams for design for testability (DFT) and design for manufacturing (DFM).
• Maintain rigorous safety protocols during high-voltage testing activities.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 8+ years related experience
OR
Master’s Degree in engineering with 5+ years related experience
** Technical Skills:
• Hands-on experience with converter/inverter prototyping, test benches, and debugging.
• Strong understanding of DC-DC converters, AC-DC inverters, magnetics, and control algorithms.
• Proficiency in using lab instruments and data acquisition tools.
• Familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or LTspice.
• Experience with standards and compliance (UL, IEC, ISO) for power electronics systems.
**Desired Technical Skills:
• Experience with automated test systems.
• Understanding of EMI/EMC testing, thermal design, and environmental validation.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller-based converter control.
