Our client, a multinational energy technology company, is looking for a Field Service Technician to join their team in Ashburn, VA! This is a 12-month contract position and is fully onsite so local candidates are required.
This role is responsible for installing and commissioning Building Automation Systems (BAS), ensuring proper integration and functionality of all components. It involves performing regular maintenance, troubleshooting, software updates, and calibration of HVAC systems to maintain optimal performance and safety. The technician also monitors system efficiency, provides diagnostics and repairs, and remains compliant with all required company training protocols.

Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in HVAC systems, electrical systems, and computer networking.
Experience:
A minimum of 3-6 years’ experience in applicable fields (BAS controls, HVAC controls, Controls Commissioning, PLC Programming).
Certifications: Relevant certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, or BAS technologies
Desired Skills & Experience
Tech school Grad or a 4yr degree in Mechanical/Electrical is top pick.
What You Will Be Doing
Installation and Commissioning: Install and commission BAS systems, ensuring all components are correctly integrated and functioning.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot issues with BAS components.
Software Management: Download, update, and verify the accuracy of software used in BAS systems.
Calibration and Testing: Calibrate and test HVAC systems and controls to ensure optimal performance.
Monitoring and Diagnostics: Monitor BAS components for efficiency and safety, and provide diagnostics and repairs as needed.
