LEAD QUALITY ENGINEER OR MANAGER – INJECTION MOLDING (AUTOMOTIVE)

You’ll lead or contribute to customer-facing quality efforts, manage internal systems, and help build a long-term quality culture at a fast-paced injection molding facility supporting Tier 1 automotive customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own or support customer complaints, RMAs, audits, and quality escalations.
Lead or contribute to PPAP documentation, APQP activities, and quality planning for new programs.
Train and guide a team of 6 quality technicians across 3 shifts.
Drive root cause investigations using structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.).
Maintain compliance with ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 quality systems.
Work cross-functionally with engineering and sales to advocate for the company.
Build trust internally and externally through confident, well-informed communication.
REQUIREMENTS:
4+ years of quality experience in an injection molding environment.
Automotive industry background required; Tier 1 experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to own customer-facing quality tasks and advocate for your organization.
Experience with structured problem-solving tools and core quality systems.
Leadership experience preferred, or demonstrated potential and interest in growing into it.
Compensation will reflect your current experience level.
