Sterling Engineering is working with an industry-leading manufacturer of large-scale construction equipment that’s looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their team near Waukesha, WI. Key Responsibilities:

Research and retrieve legacy equipment records from company archives; must be proficient in interpreting historical mechanical and structural drawings.

Execute engineering tasks using established procedures, including creating equipment layouts, performing mechanical and structural calculations, and finalizing designs.

Develop detailed drawings—detail, sub-assembly, assembly, and installation—as required by project scope.

Write thorough work instructions to support field installation efforts.

Take full ownership of project planning, scheduling, design execution, and performance against budget and schedule, from initial inquiry through startup.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME preferred)

Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software)

Must have experience working with large-scale or structural equipment

Strong understanding of mechanical and structural design principles

Effective communicator with the ability to manage multiple project demands
