IntePros is seeking an Automation Project Engineer to provide automation design and project management support for our pharmaceutical client's Facility Project in Philadelphia. The focus will be on Building Automation Systems (BAS), Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS), and associated Infrastructure / Instrumentation and Controls (I&C).

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the project’s automation engineering representative.

Ensure BAS, EMS, and I&C systems are delivered per project requirements and design specs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, IT, Facilities, CQV, vendors).

Review and approve engineering submittals, RFIs, and construction documents.

Support system design, installation, startup, commissioning, and qualification.

Manage punch list resolution and Engineering Turnover Packages (ETOPs).

Conduct site walkdowns to assess safety, design compliance, and installation status.

Assist in FAT/SAT, vendor documentation, and lifecycle SOP development.

Support mechanical/electrical drawing reviews and infield verification.

Maintain detailed documentation, track issues, and drive resolutions.

Requirements:

BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline).

7+ years of experience in cGMP biotech, pharma, or similar engineering service environments.

Experience in automation design, project execution, commissioning, and lifecycle support.

Familiarity with Siemens Desigo BAS, Vaisala ViewLinc EMS, Rockwell PLC, OSI PI, and GxP compliance.

Strong knowledge of P&IDs, loop/wiring diagrams, validation protocols, and IT/OT infrastructure.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with PLC logic, automation software, network protocols (MODBUS, OPC, Ethernet/IP).

Proven success in capital project (CAPEX) environments.

Ability to collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and lead cross-functional efforts.
