Position Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our growing team and play a critical role in driving product and process excellence. Reporting to the Director of Quality, this role is responsible for leading quality improvement initiatives across internal operations and external suppliers. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and customer support to enhance product performance and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Improve and maintain quality systems across manufacturing and supply chain operations to ensure consistent delivery of reliable products.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and suppliers to enhance quality at every stage of the product lifecycle.
Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), including authoring and executing CARs and SCARs.
Analyze manufacturing and field data using tools like SQL, Excel, and Minitab to uncover trends and prioritize issues for resolution.
Participate in product and process qualifications, supporting trials, testing, and documentation activities.
Provide hands-on support for quality improvements on the production floor and at supplier locations.
Develop and maintain ISO 9001-compliant procedures and quality documentation.
Support training of quality and production staff on tools, processes, and best practices.
Engage in cross-functional quality initiatives and special projects to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Desired Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering (or related discipline) preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing engineering role in a high-volume production environment.
Background in new product introduction (NPI) and/or development-stage manufacturing highly desirable.
Automotive industry experience is a plus.
Strong command of quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, GR&R, GD&T, and CAPA processes.
Proficient with data analysis and reporting using database tools, Excel, and statistical software.
Experience with inspection and metrology tools (hand gauges, CMMs, vision systems, etc.).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
