Senior Test Engineer

A company in El Segundo is looking for a hands-on Senior Test Engineer to design, build, and maintain advanced test systems for spaceflight hardware. This role spans mechanical, electrical, fluid, and control systems, offering the opportunity to innovate across the full lifecycle—from concept to commissioning. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance test platforms that directly support our mission.

This role is 5 days onsite in El Segundo, and paying $120-$140k/year. Benefit packages provided by the end client.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and integration of custom test rigs and infrastructure.

• Build and maintain fluid, thermal, and electrical systems for hardware testing.

• Implement instrumentation and DAQ systems with sensors, PLCs, and controllers.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate test needs into robust systems.

• Troubleshoot and optimize test setups for high reliability and uptime.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.

• 3+ years of experience developing test equipment or R&D infrastructure.

• Proficiency in CAD (NX or SolidWorks) and mechanical design fundamentals.

• Familiarity with instrumentation, wiring, and fluid system components.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on problem-solving mindset.
