Job Details
You should have / know some of the following:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering or similar
Experienced with RISA-3D or equivalent
8+ Years in Heavy Steel Design
Understanding and application of AISC steel code checks
FEA including non-linear
Familiar with SolidWorks or other 3d Software
Experience with large fabricated plate girders and steel connections
Heavy steel foundation design for mounted equipment on offshore vessels and facilities
Experience with hydraulic systems
ANSYS
MathCAD
AutoCAD (Draftsight)
Define, input, and analyze various load cases for structural models.
Produce design calculations and select materials and components for various equipment, and subassemblies.
Produce complex solid models and analyze the technical aspects of designs to ensure design effectiveness.
Perform FEA or equivalent structural analysis to determine the design is adequate for the application.
Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally and to be away from home for weeks at a time
