Job Description

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector for a full-time opportunity with a national company that specializes in supplying fire alarm, electronic security and facility services to the financial sector. This role will cover a regional route across South Jersey, including areas from the Jersey Shore up to Trenton and west toward Philadelphia.

This is a field-based position requiring strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems, NFPA code compliance, and the ability to work independently with professionalism and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled inspections and testing of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72 and local AHJ requirements

Troubleshoot basic fire alarm system issues and document deficiencies

Complete detailed inspection reports and ensure accurate documentation for customers and internal systems

Communicate effectively with clients, property managers, and contractors during inspections

Coordinate with the service team to recommend repairs or follow-up work

Maintain tools, testing equipment, and company vehicle in clean and functional condition

Adhere to all safety guidelines and company protocols while on customer sites

Requirements:

1–3 years of fire alarm inspection or related low voltage experience preferred

Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and common fire alarm systems (Honeywell, Silent Knight, Notifier, etc.)

NICET certification (Level I or II in Fire Alarm Systems) preferred, or willingness to obtain

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills

Comfortable working independently and traveling throughout the region daily
