Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer – Applications Development Analyst – Advanced

Location: Onsite – Tallahassee, Florida (No Telework Allowed)

Contract Type: State Term Contract #-STC-ITSA

Hourly Rate: Up to $80/hour

Client: Florida Department of Revenue (FDOR), Information Services Program (ISP)

Position Overview

The Florida Department of Revenue (FDOR) is seeking a highly experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support ongoing SAP ECC and S/4HANA initiatives. This is a full-time onsite position in Tallahassee, FL with no remote or hybrid work option.

Core Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and implement SAP ABAP solutions.

Provide technical support and enhancements for SAP modules: FI/CA, SD, MD, BW/BI.

Participate in SAP S/4 HANA Brownfield migration from ECC 6.0.

Collaborate with functional teams to develop and review functional/technical specifications.

Lead or support SAP technical projects, mentor junior developers.

Manage SAP OSS notes, incident tickets, and service requests.

Conduct ABAP code reviews and unit testing.

Work with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Fiori.

Required Experience

10+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.

Strong experience with SAP ECC 6.0 or higher and S/4 HANA Brownfield upgrades.

SAP ECC modules: FI/CA, FI, SD, MD, GL.

Object-Oriented ABAP, Adobe Forms, Smartforms, SAP Script, Web Dynpro.

Performance optimization using Trace Tools, Runtime Analysis, and ABAP SQL.

SAP BW/BI and SAP Portal development experience.

Integration skills: REST Web Services, API development, Gateway services.

Batch job scheduling and performance analysis.

Custom enhancements using BADIs, User Exits, and module pool programming.

Preferred Skills

SAP CRM Activity and Business Partner Management.

Fiori app development using BAS and BTP.

SAP Business Data Toolset (BDT), BRF and BRF Plus.

Experience in cloud development and Native HANA transport.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, or related field.

Work Environment & Compliance

Consultant must work onsite five (5) days per week in Tallahassee, FL.

Monthly performance reviews with potential financial consequences for underperformance.

Must comply with state and federal funding regulations.
